Roxana Kian is a multi-disciplinary artist currently living in Minneapolis and working in Maple Grove, Minnesota. Her original designs, made up of repeating triangular shapes, make their way on any surface she can find, including paper, canvas, clay, cardboard and even walls. Her photography reflects many of the same aesthetics found in her original designs with repeating patterns and bold colors. Her photographs depict nature as a way to connect with her family roots. Roxana takes a lot of inspiration from her surroundings, her Iranian American heritage, family traditions and artists like Gustav Klimt and Georgia O’Keeffe. Roxana’s work has been featured on merchandise for Studio by CHOICE, book covers for Cow Tipping Press and exhibited in local galleries and coffee shops.
