I've been doing the Artability sale for many years. I have overcome brain damage from injuries when I was 8 years old, from falling out of an oak tree. I was in a coma, and at that time, there was not much known about brain damage. I had a boating accident later, then had 20 years of epileptic tonic-clonic seizures, and my husband had to perform CPR many times before he died. I also have bipolar disorder, and it was out of control for many years after my late teens. In 2000, I found a therapist who did EEG-neurofeedback, and I stopped having seizures after 6 months. My deep depression, which caused my brain damage, was relieved, and my bipolar began to level out. I also have a genetic sleep disorder. I have overcome all of these things with the aid of therapy. My art is expressed in poetry and writing, as well as in unique mediums and the way it is presented. My age and increasing disabilities have made me resort to less difficult artwork.
