I grew up in northern Minnesota in a rural area and spend much of my youth in and around nature. I have always been creative and artistic, I find myself the most present when I am creating art. As an adult, I use art as a way to perform self-care and to ground myself. In my career, I find art has been integral to the way I express myself, the way I view myself, others and the world and as a way to connect to other people.
